What A Year!

It's been quite a year, folks, and what a fun one at that!

As some of you may have noticed, I've cut down my hours at the office in order to spend more time with my little munchkin and chase after him all over the house. However, a new opportunity also opened up for me and that is to teach more classes at a local community adult education program. There have been quite a few challenges, let me tell you!

For one, I'm not used to passive aggressive students who are unable to bend or be flexible when a new teacher enters the classroom. They smile at me when they're facing me or when they need something from me, but they can't seem to stop talking behind my back or when I'm giving a lecture. It's infuriating but I have to remind myself that I am stronger than this. And there's always a few of those students in the mix...you just can't avoid that.

So, now that I've gotten that off my chest, I hope you guys have had a wonderful year. I know I've been awol most of the year - what with having a baby and all, but this year marks my 13th year of being in practice! Can you believe that? It's also the first year where I've worked the least - what with a new priority staring at me right in the face each morning so I'm not complaining.
