What is Thai Yoga Bodywork?

This 2,500 year old healing art from Thailand combines the benefits of hatha yoga, acupressure and reflexology designed to open up the body's vital energy channels to promote good health and well-being.

Usually performed on a floor mat with the client fully clothed, it's been called "Lazy Man's Yoga" because the client receives all the benefits of yoga without doing any of the work. It helps relieve chronic pain, promote calm and balance.

Similar to that of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Thai Yoga is centered on the belief that vital energies travel throughout the body along invisible 'channels' called "sen'. When any of these channels are blocked, one experiences aches, pains and disease. By apply point pressure and gentle stretches along these channels and, when combined with the Buddhist spirit of metta or "loving-kindness", Thai Yoga Bodywork becomes a truly meditative and healing therapy for everyone.

Thai Yoga Bodywork is not painful in any way. This gentle form of therapy works with your body's wisdom, allowing you to let go of your body's holding patterns and allow healing to commence. Thai Yoga Bodywork is a wonderful way to achieve balance of mind, body and spirit.
